Compensation: $20.00 to $22.00 per hour
Job Summary:
Provides day-to-day human resources administrative support in all the OSO.
Duties and Responsibilities:
● Practice OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards and comply with all company safety policies and procedures
● Assist with clerical function of the recruitment process as needed.
Recruitment & Onboarding
● Coordinate job postings, interview scheduling, and pre-employment screenings
● Prepare offer letters and onboarding paperwork
● Conduct and or assist with new hire orientations and ensure completion of I-9, E-Verify, and required documents
● Track and file background checks, onboarding checklist and employment eligibility records
● Translate documents as requested. Employee Records & HR Administration
● Maintain accurate employee personnel files (paper and electronic)
● Process employee status changes, promotions, transfers, and terminations as needed
● Track attendance, corrective actions, and disciplinary documentation as needed
● Assist with exit interviews and offboarding checklists as needed
Training & Engagement
● Coordinate employee training sessions and maintain training records
● Support recognition programs, employee events, and engagement initiatives
● Notifies the HRD promptly and fully of all problems or unusual matters of significance.
● Provides administrative support to human resources function as needed (e.g. correspondence generation, record keeping, file maintenance, keeping document bins filled up in all locations).
● Files papers and documents into appropriate employee files (paper and digital); performs paper and system audits as requested.
● Maintains the birthday, safety and other programs up to date and provides HR managers with monthly reports.
● Assists with the benefits open enrollment process. Coordination, setting up meetings, letters and packets.
● Report all unsafe conditions immediately. Follow and know emergency procedures as needed.
● Keep the work area clean and organized.
● Maintain a good working relationship with other departments, employees, and guests.
● Develops internal communication materials regarding human resources policies and procedures, recruitment, and other internal business issues.
● Maintain office supplies for department
● Ensures accurate, competent, attention to detail in all job tasks
● Assist HR team with special projects as assigned
● Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
● Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
● High School diploma, associate degree preferred, in related areas plus one year of administrative or human resources experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must speak fluent English. Bilingual (Spanish) Required.
This job requires the ability to perform the fo lowing:
● Proficient with Microsoft office programs: excel, word, power point.
● Proficient using Google Suite
● Communication ski ls are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with others; demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the Company.
● Reading and writing abilities are utilized often when completing paperwork and reports, interpreting results, giving and receiving instructions, and training. Detail oriented.
● Must thrive on being busy and be able to remain focused and calm in an often hectic office environment
● Problem solving and organizational abilities are used often.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit for an extended period of time. The employee wi l have repetitive hand motion (typing) for extended periods of time; wi l be required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move and/or push up to 25 pounds without assistance
