Corporate Accounting Manager

Job Overview: In this role, you will work closely with senior leadership and be a key contributor to the finance team. You'll join a small, collaborative environment where your contributions will directly influence the company's ability to scale. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced settings and is ready to take on ownership of core accounting functions.Responsibilities:

• Within their department of five, oversee financial reporting, property accounting, and support investment operations.

• Review property financial statements and month-end reports for multiple entities.

• Prepare corporate financial reporting including monthly Owner Statements.

• Manage general ledger reconciliations, journal entries, and banking transactions.

• Oversee treasury management including tax payments and loan compliance.

• Prepare property and corporate budgets, forecasts, and monthly variance analysis.

• Lead the month-end close process and ensure financials are GAAP-compliant.

• Ensure tax and regulatory compliance for all the entities in the company’s portfolio.

• Serve as point of contact for tax accountants, vendors, and consultants.

• Contribute to process improvements and identify and implement new technologies to drive accuracy and efficiency.

• Advise and train staff accountant and property accountant on accounting processes.

• Perform additional tasks assigned.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of real estate accounting experience (development, operations, or property management)

• Strong knowledge of GAAP, cash/accrual accounting, and investment structures (LLCs, LPs)

• NetSuite or similar ERP systems required

• AppFolio or Yardi a plus

• Intermediate Excel skills (vlookup, pivot tables, if function, etc.)

• Supervisory experience 

• Detail-oriented team player with strong problem-solving skills.
